Four vineyards are brought together in this mightily slurpable Barossa Shiraz from Schwarz Wine Co.
12% whole bunches are used, much less than previous releases, yet it doesn't lose any of its lustre. There is a bright purple hue that captures the eye with scents of purple flowers, mulberries and blueberries to set the scene. It gets in deep with lashings of meatiness. A curious milk chocolate flutter shifts to some Cherry Ripe, baking spices and some fruit bun spice action. Cloves come late as do baked raspberries and shimmers of those spices again. Dusk, a cool breeze on your face and a charcuterie board will do just fine.
