That colour! So bold and dense. The flagship wine from Tenafeate Creek, this Judgement Shiraz is rich and generous and it deserves to be tucked away for some time yet.
It really worked its way into a groove after a few days of tasting. Drinking it now would not do it justice as it showed its best on day 3 and day 4 of tasting.
Buckets of plums and blackberries open the account with a fair chunk of oak too. Dark chocolate and chocolate brownie draw concentric circles around the mouth with caramel fudge wanting in on the action. Compote and dried fruit characters build momentum and there is even a little shimmer of portiness but that moved on. Time brings out melted chocolate feels that glide through the mouth offering a voluptuous and curvaceous presence. Warm baking spices hum and cling to every turn on a persistent and comforting finish.
Give it the time it deserves and you'll be rewarded.
