McLaren Vale is a lot of things but a Chardonnay hotspot is one thing it is not. More muted than the Abacus Chardonnay, this is quite a simple drink.
Sure it's an easy type, but when the asking price is up around 30 bucks you want a little sparkle. Highlighted by a lemony tang and some white fleshed stonefruit, it's all a bit ho-hum.
