Admittedly, the glass I was tasting this from was not the greatest but class always rises up and the contents soared way above the vessel. With a little oak protruding through, caramel, cedar and clove aromas were generous and inviting. Cherry ripe and dark chocolate go about their work laying down a silky platform. There is a brightness and energy here which I found enticing. A wine with great drive and flow, I loved the brown spices that kept ticking away on a long and persistent finish. Highly recommended, it's well worth slotting away and pulling out for the big occasion.
