Your face lights up immediately when you meet Brioni. Her infectious smile brightens the room and this wine, much like her, brightens the mood big time. Vibrant and energetic, it's a blend of Mataro, Touriga and Shiraz. Loaded with juicy fruit, it's all party shoes on and let's get dancing. More like this please - it is an absolute beauty.
The fruit bursts through. There is some weight but there is also balance with a cheeky personality. Laced with fine spices, it's moreish and smashable - the essence of sharing great wine with those around you. Blueberries, mulberries, redcurrants and dark cherries, it races for your attention with an energetic personality. Juicy tannins and some earthy feels wash through adding further appeal. The more I look at it though the more I think, "Bugger the notes, just drink it". And fundamentally, that's where this is at. I just want to pour, share and drink. Gimme all that slurpy goodness.
