Oakridge Original Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Guns 'n' Roses could have sung "Lay me down on a bed of Cabernet" and this bottle could have been on the album cover for that matter. It's just glorious. Find a comfy chair and you navigate the rest.

I've said before that Yarra Valley Cabernet is severely underrated and this release drives that point home hard once more. Drink now but hold on and it will drink even better.

Blackcurrants, capsicum, black olives and tobacco, a shimmer of red currant lurks. Some savoury goodness comes in the form of dried leaves, dried sage, buckets of mint and cedary oak. The latter two surge on a long finish with a drying chalky/powdery finish. Sip slow, embrace, chat, sip some more. It's quite something.

Drink to ten years+
