Willowlake doing Willowlake things. A wonderfully weighted Pinot Noir from Oakridge albeit with a little more spice this time. I can't recall a similar release but it's still damn slurpable.
Get past the spice and it's all red plums, dark cherries and charcuterie. A little smokey, some tension rides through the mid-palate with pepper and poaching spices curling around the mouth. Long and soft, there is no disputing the quality. That spice persists much longer than expected adding some warmth. Give it a sleep for a couple of years perhaps?
Drink to eight years.
