Kellybrook's best Pinot and only 50 dozen were produced. First planted in 1975, this is a blend of their best barrels.
The image above is similar to the Reserve bottle but it's not yet available on the website. I'm unsure of the pricing too.
My first impression is that this is a little warm. The fruit comes across a little baked. There is some density and cola, dark cherries and some mushroomy earthiness plays a large hand. That concentration of fruit takes the stage as soft spices try to emerge. Dried leaves and brick dust like tannins have the last word. It's the kind of wine to have on a cool evening but a glass is probably where I'd stop.
