The organic wine market continues to surge and this small batch Shiraz from Chapel Hill is their red wine contribution. Good gear, it flows with ease.
Cloves and cedar aromas lead to generous dark plums and woodsy spices. The oak plays its role. If anything, it's a straight bat type of wine. Nothing too excitable but it does the job. Given the choice mind you, I'd take the Abacus Shiraz ahead of this wine simply due to the fact it's a little more complex and generous.
Drink to five years.
