TarraWarra Estate wines always present well irrespective of price point or range. The fruit for this wine comes from J Block which is perched on the hill above the picturesque Yarra Valley cellar door.
Toasty oak and char a feature here. Some meatiness and dried herbs casually mingle. Silky smooth dark berry fruit and drunk cherries slide on in once the mood has been set. A curious subtle hint of mint lurks in the deep before a firm pepper spice takes hold. Dusty and drying tannins sit long and add moreish factor. I'd have a couple of glasses easy.
Drink to six years.
