A little richer than the Reserve Chardonnay from Orange, its Hunter Valley credentials are true with this release from Tamburlaine.
Citrus blossom aromas wrap themselves around white fleshed stonefruit. Mango and glace pineapple sit beside ribbons of cream and nougat that thread their way through the palate. Some almond meal, and hazelnuts add a neat presence with a pastry like creaminess and a fine ripple of ginger spice having the last word. It's a wine that will certainly pass the roast chook test.
Drink to five years.
