Scents of stewed fruit, plums and dark berries kick things off with ripples of spice clinging on for the ride. I was hoping for a little more vibrance and it feels a little tired for a 2023 but that is from the oak that talks just a little too much. The fruit shows varietal character, so that box has been ticked.
