This Apex Pinot Noir from Nepenthe has some muscle and density. There's a pleasing presence and flow that builds curiosity.
Dark cherries and sauteed mushrooms feature large. Tilled earth, cola, apricot kernel, prosciutto and dried leaves all add to the savoury drive. Plums raise their hand with a dusting of dried herbs landing late. A persistent and delicate finish caps off a most impressive drink. I would happily tuck into a glass, and that's saying something because Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir is not generally my go to. Well done.
