Nepenthe Pinnacle Albarino 2023

One whiff of this Nepenthe Pinnacle Albarino will whisk you away to a tropical paradise. Glace pineapple and pina colada are all the rage early on.

It's great to see larger brands embracing alternative varieties and Australian Vintage now has a neat range in their portfolio with such wines from the Adelaide Hills, Hunter Valley and the Murray Darling.

Lime Splice, Mayer lemon juice with a good dose of white fleshed nectarine landing on the mid-palate. But there is a squishy banana thing that pulls this back along with the acid line that seemingly hits a barrier. Soft Mediterrean tonic feels add a delightful textural presence to close. There is a lot of potential here but this release seems a little bitsy. Throw is at some soft shell crab or fresh prawns.

Drink now to three years.
