Oxford Landing One to One Shiraz 2021

This is a tidy Shiraz that drives along in cruise control. The One to One range from Oxford Landing covers a lot of bases but those bases are covered well with a bunch of reliable wines on offer.

In celebration of Earth Day on 22 April, Oxford Landing will increase the amount of bushland planted with every bottle of One to One wine sold throughout the month.

Through a partnership with Greenfleet, every six bottles of One to One enjoyed will see another square metre of bushland planted in the ‘One to One Bushland’. The ‘One to One Bushland’ is located in the On Dja Dja Wurrung Country in Central Victoria, where Greenfleet is restoring the native ecosystem at Ngulambarra, meaning “meeting place” in Djaara language. This project is playing an important role in restoring endangered temperate woodlands and enhancing biodiversity, while also supporting the values of Traditional Owners.

The fruit is sustainably grown and made with minimal intervention. Vegan friendly and low in preservatives, the bottle is also made up of 98% recycled lightweight glass.

Berry pie, boysenberry, dark plums and some raspberry, it's a wine that has enough depth to muse over without the bells and whistles. Quite firm and tense, there is a hard nudge of acid late and a comforting warmth. Some smokiness and meatiness add to a well presented wine. Good stuff.

Drink to three years.
