This Mount Langi Ghiran Cliff Edge is a bright and uplifting Shiraz that is supple and dangerously slurpable. Cool climate deliciousness coming at you!
From a mild year producing above average yields, a long ripening season has delivered plenty of spice and berry flavours.
Medium to full bodied from vines with an average age of 25 years and seeing French oak for 14 months (30% new), it opens with some bright fruit courtesy of raspberries and red currants with depth coming from the dark plums and dark cherries. There is a silky and polished feel about it. Spices rush late thanks to five spice, a sprinkle of pepper and star anise, the finish is long and sustained. Above all, it's beautiful drinking and stopping at one glass seems futile. Go here.
