Emma Raidis is a sparkling, vivacious personality so it's no surprise that Raidis Estate's sparkling is named after her.
An interesting blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Gris, the fizz is racy and energetic early but then dies off swiftly. Honey tones with pastry feels have me thinking of honey puffs and that honey chicken batter from Chinese restaurants. Almonds, cut pear and white fleshed nectarines add some fleeting interest but the fruit presentation is thin and limps through the mouth dissolving quickly - much quicker than expected. Some more detail and concentration would go a long way. I'd prefer others at this price point.
