There is a vibrancy and purity that is gripping and I love it. A completely different style to the Usher Tinkler Reserve, this Paper Wasp is fresh, energetic and a fabulous take on what modern Chardonnay looks like.
Lemon juice and old school lemonade parade about without constraint. A fine veil of vanilla cream tucks in behind. Some white fleshed nectarines and a faint raw cashew nuttiness all add to the detail. It's a wine that exudes drinkability, and isn't that precisely what you want when you grab a bottle off the shelf? Fine ginger spices leave a long trail in their wake with a moreish lemony tang whispering at you to encourage another sip pronto. And it would be rude not to. Damn, this is delish.
Drink to five years.
