A simple Sparkling Verdelho from Boydell's in the Hunter Valley.
It kicks off with inviting aromas of green apple, canned pear juice and limoncello but much of that fades away in the mouth. Baked pear and some honeyed tones lurk but not much else. It's an easy-going drink and those who seek wines that don't engage much thought may well be right at home here.
