Pretty aromas spill from the glass in a most inviting opening courtesy of this Sorby Adams Jellico Riesling.
Little white field flowers and lilies, musk, green apple and citrus reach seek your approval. But from that vibrant start things go into sleep mode with the fruit presence muted. Sure there are the lemon and lime characters as you'd expect but the vibrance and energy that threw themselves at you on opening struggle to surface. A faint flicker of lychee comes late with a lemon sherbet tang leaving a lasting impression. But if only the fruit had a little more lift.
Drink now.
