Absolutely brilliant, this Levantine Hill Samantha's Paddock is a keeper. Demonstrating superb development over several days of tasting, its structure and shape ooze class.
The detail and layers of interest set this apart. Leafy Cabernet puts a stake in the ground with the Merlot and Cabernet Franc huddling around. Blackberries, blackcurrants and blackberry jubes drive the fruit profile with an abundance of savoury appeal - think tar, bay leaf, leather and licorice. Take a breath before you dive back in for more to reveal dried sage and thyme, ripples of earth and flickers of meatiness. The tannins move slowly to a powdery shape and then there is that elongated, silky length. Just wow. Decant to drink now or hold. Regardless, you're the winner with this in your glass.
