A medium-bodied GSM from the Yarra Valley, this Glen Garvald from Levantine Hill is a nice enough drink, but a little more fruit concentration would up things a little more.
Red fruits move about with ease. Think sour cherries, cranberries and even the suggestion of rhubarb. Time in the glass sees plums and dark berries rise up. Some earthiness wriggles about with a handful of spice for good measure and medium rare steak meatiness. Those spices push through to a respectable length. It's a good slurp for a casual meal.
Drink to five years.
