A savoury Pinot Noir from Levantine Hill's Estate range, it features beautifully long and drawn out tannins. It's a wine that will continue to evolve in the bottle.
Twiggy and earthy scents diffuse from the glass along with mushroom compost and all those autumnal things to make a delightful first impression. Sour cherries, dark cherries and plums feature to highlight the fruit profile. It's Central Otago-esque in some respects with tense spices and woodsy spices wrapping themselves around a persistent and drying finish. Cool nights call for Pinots such as this. Respectable and then some.
