Rich and dense, this Chapel Hill Gorge Block is a broad-shouldered Cabernet Sauvignon from McLaren Vale. A wine with serious longevity in its veins, it is certainly built to last and a few days of tasting proved that.
From the vines grown directly behind the winery, scents of dried purple flowers and black tea make the first impression. Black fruits and plums light up the fruit profile with an array of savoury delights driving the bus lead by licorice, mint slice, black olives and olive tapenade. Dusty, emery board tannins reach long on an elongated finish that urges another sip. Great stuff!
