A dense and muscular blend, this Shiraz/Grenache/Mataro from Lou Miranda is steak night ready.
Handfuls of black cherries, blackberries, dense plums and baked raspberries rumble from the glass with pan juices and a meatiness that is hard to ignore. Sandalwood, licorice, fruit buns spices and a faint lick of caramel add interest. A tense tannin profile leaves a grainy and dusty feel to muse over. A few days of tasting saw this calm and soften. Decant to drink now or hold for the medium term. Good stuff!
Drink to eight years.
