Big, muscular and oaky sum up this Barossan born Fierce III Shiraz.
A mouthful deluxe, the oak is deeply ingrained (28 months in American oak 40% new) and has a vice like grip on the dark plum fruit. Rum and raisin, cloves, cedar, caramel and panna cotta all come from the oak. Quite overbearing, a lengthy stint in the cellar may be the tonic to cool its heels.
