My first look at Ouse and I've been swept off my feet. Pronounced "ooze", it oozes class through every pore. There is a mystique about its fine lines and lacey appeal that I just want to bathe in.
It opens with char and blackcurrant leaf. A serious wine, blood orange and apricot kernel cruise about with ease. Negroni feels with mega umami delight, mushroom compost and the fruit concentration continue to entice. Fine spices run long bringing a moreishness. Persistent deluxe, it is just beautiful drinking and my preferred of the Single Site range. Bravo winemaker Peter Caldwell.
