Like the Block 6, this is coiled and tightly knit. A Riesling with electricity and drive, this is simply excellent. It's one of those wines that brings the reaction, "Oh, wow!"
Tasted alongside the Block 6 at the cellar door, the class shone through here. Only metres separating the two in the vineyard, they are two very different wines.
Lime pith and lime zest are all the rage. Pretty scents of Jasmine flowers heighten the experience. The power and intensity of the fruit is something with an understated river stone minerality chiming in late. Chalk and talc feels coat the palate on close. It's hard not to adore this. Drink or hold, you choose.
