I'm sure Sagrantino translates to "street tough". This release from Angullong isn't shy by any means. Big and muscular, you know you are in its presence.
Generous dark fruits, licorice and plenty of earthiness come at you. Chocolate torte builds momentum but this wine is all about those big tannins that sap all moisture from the mouth. The structure is where this is at though, it's really well done.
