This Petite Blancs is a fascinating wine. Made with Chenin Blanc and Gewurztraminer that were sourced from the Swan Valley and Frankland River respectively, the aim is to deliver a minimal intervention wine, and I've go to say, it's pretty tasty.
Scents of purple flowers and rose water open the account. The prettiness of Gewurztraminer (40%) really does shine. The Chenin Blanc fills out mid-palate and also provides a great line of acidity. Wild yeast fermented and with no lees stirring, the wine wa bottled without fining or filtration and that contributes to the textural drive. Fine spices shimmer with ginger quite prominent. An interesting wine and one that I'd be happy to sit back with and indulge in a glass.
