This sees 90% new French oak for 20 months, and like the other wines in the range with high percentages of new oak, you wouldn't know quite simply due to the careful and judicious handling.
Plush with soft blackberries and plums, the varietal savoury highlights of black olives, cigar box, bay leaf and dried herbs all add layers of detail and interest. The acid, tannins and fruit fold into one another with supreme ease. Fine spices have the last word as they slowly push through the mouth for a sustained finish. Oh, the splendour!
