Winemaker Nadja Wallington's late father planted these Cabernet Franc vines simply because he loved looking over vines. From the family vineyard in Canowindra, this is a beautiful tribute to him.
Swirl the glass and a quick taste and all I can think about is lamb ragu and meat lovers pizza - come at me Friday night! Cabernet Franc was certainly an eye-opener on my recent trip to Orange and this was yet another example of how well it performs in Orange and surrounding districts. Fresh dried herbs and roasted capsicum diffuse from the glass with ease. Dark berry fruits, flickers of dark cherries, dark chocolate and even a little clove all work as one. Long with an attractive presence, tick, tick, tick.
